Degree Programs

Our degree programs are designed to equip you for a career in veterinary medicine, medicine, equine science, food safety and production — just to name a few. Our animal sciences programs are also excellent for studies in fields such as animal nutrition, biochemistry and molecular biology, microbiology, growth biology, meat science and muscle biology, breeding and genetics and reproductive biology.

Auburn University researchers target horn flies in fight for cattle health

Researchers at the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station are working to develop smarter solutions for Alabama’s cattle producers by shifting from traditional cattle-based experiments to molecular analysis of the horn fly itself—revealing new insights into fly-borne pathogens and novel methods of biological control.
