The study of pests and disease

In the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, we are discovering safer and healthier ways to protect our food, health, resources and homes from a variety of threats, such as pests and disease. We do this while also protecting our natural ecosystems, which insects, bacteria and microorganisms are essential to maintaining.
