Facilities

The AFFC, located 150 miles from Auburn University in Greensboro, serves as a conduit for communication between the fish farming industry, Auburn University’s research and extension community and state/federal agencies to support the development of the aquaculture industry.

The Auburn University Lambert-Powell Meats Lab is a state of the art teaching, research & extension facility supporting a variety of activities in the areas of meat quality, meat processing & food safety for the Department of Animal Sciences.

The Center for Advanced Science, Innovation and Commerce (CASIC) was completed in July 2013 and includes 21 lab spaces to support research from the colleges of Agriculture; Architecture, Design and Construction; Engineering; Forestry, Wildlife and Environment; and Sciences and Mathematics. Conference rooms of various sizes at the CASIC building are available to book. The Auburn University Shellfish Lab (AUSL) is one component of the Auburn University School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences. AUSL is located on the campus of the Dauphin Island Sea Lab on the eastern end of Dauphin Island.
