Accessibility
Auburn University has adopted an accessibility policy that requires your syllabus be accessible to users with visual or physical limitations. For semester the system will only upload word documents. Before uploading your word document, you should check to make certain it meets accessibility standards. Refer to the below instructions for using the Accessibility Checker depending on your operating system.
Windows
Click on the File tab. Choose the Info section and look for the Inspect Document icon. You will click the icon and choose Check Accessibility. This will identify any issues with your document that you will need to correct. Once corrected, you can upload the syllabus.
Mac
Accessibility Checker on the Mac is only available in Office 2016 or later and is located under the Review tab. If you use a Mac but do not have the current Office version (Office 365), please submit a request for installing Office 365 using the ServiceNow request form.
After a successful login, you see a list of courses for which you are listed as an instructor-of-record for this semester.
Note: If the column 'Current Syllabus' shows 'Not on file', that means you have yet to upload a syllabus for that course. If the Current Syllabus column shows a file name, that means a syllabus has already been uploaded for that course. You may click on the filename to view the syllabus. Uploading another file will overwrite the existing file, and is a convenient way of having your latest syllabus online.
Please click on the uploading syllabus button that corresponds to the course for which you wish to upload a new syllabus.
In the syllabus uploading window that opens, locate the syllabus file for the course you have selected, and click on Open. Word files are required to meet accessibility standards.
Click on the UPLOAD SYLLABUS button to complete the upload process.
The list of window now shows the latest syllabus file you have uploaded.
