Research and Scholarship Connections Travel Grant to Ireland and the Netherlands
The Research & Scholarship Connections Travel Grant, offered by the Office of International Programs, leverages Auburn’s strongest international partnerships to foster collaborations across disciplines. Faculty benefit from OIP’s contacts and logistical expertise as well as the security and longevity of relationships formed at the university level.
The May 2026 Research & Scholarship Connections Travel Grant will provide group travel to visit Technological University Dublin in Ireland and the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Travel will take place May 5-14, 2026. Any current Auburn faculty member with a specific interest in collaborative research or scholarship with these partners in particular or Ireland or the Netherlands in general is welcome to apply.
What is included?
- An itinerary arranged by OIP to include meetings with university contacts selected based on recipients' research and scholarship areas
- Round-trip economy airfare
- Hotel accommodations
- Per diem reimbursement for meals and incidentals
- Group ground transportation within Ireland and the Netherlands
- Cultural activities
- Support before and after travel to make appropriate connections with collaborators
