Faculty Group Travel to Thailand and Indonesia
June 8-19, 2024
The Research & Scholarship Connections Travel Grant leverages Auburn's strongest international partnerships to foster collaborations across disciplines. Faculty benefit from OIP's contacts and logistical expertise as well as the security and longevity of relationships formed at the university level.
The summer 2024 Research & Scholarship Connections Travel Grant will provide group travel to visit Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, University of Indonesia and Bogor Agricultural University.
Who is eligible?
Any current Auburn University faculty member interested in developing research and scholarship connections with Auburn's strategic partners in Thailand and Indonesia. Priority will be given to those without international travel experience or connections and those who need to publish or collaborate with international colleagues.
What is included?
- An itinerary arranged by OIP to include meetings with university contacts
- Round-trip economy airfare
- Hotel accommodations
- Per diem reimbursement for meals and incidentals
- Group ground transportation within Thailand and Indonesia
- Support before and after travel to make appropriate connections with Thailand and Indonesia contacts and collaborators
