Currently, she hosts Firing Line with Margaret Hoover, a series relaunched by WNET/Thirteen to bring the brightest minds of the political spectrum to a discussion on the relevant issues confronting the nation. Since its revival, the show has featured Gov. John Kasich, Preet Bharara, and Michael Moore. A CNN political contributor, LGBT activist, and veteran of the Bush Administration White House, Margaret is passionate about modernizing the Republican Party. In her bestselling book, American Individualism: How A New Generation of Conservatives Can Save the Republican Party (Crown Forum, July 2011), Ms. Hoover challenges the GOP to modernize in order to connect with the millennial generation.
Margaret is the President of American Unity Fund, an organization that works for full freedom and equality for LGBT Americans by working with conservative legislators and leaders. She also serves on the boards of Stanford University's Hoover Institution and the Hoover Presidential Foundation.
