College of Agriculture

"Endowed professorships play a vital role in advancing excellence in the Colle of Agriculture at Auburn University. In short, they allow us to recruit, reward, and retain outstanding faculty members. They help the college define disciplinary leadership in certain fields. And, they help to advance highly productive and visible research programs by providing additional programmatic support. More than anything else, they help to build strength in the college. Recipients of professorships do not necessarily recieve them for what they have done, but rather for what they have demonstrated they can do in the future. The college is thankful for the support provided by our professorship donors."

College of Architecture, Design and Construction

"It is through our faculty that the College of Architecture, Design and Construction is able to deliver robust, rigorous, and relevant programs, to develop and disseminate transformative scholarship, and to engage in impactful service. Endowed Professorships provide the necessary additional funds for recruiting and retaining innovative ideas, and citizenship. Such faculty elevate the Auburn experience through its triparite mission of instruction, inquiry, and impact. In addition, a titled professor is a recognized and accepted mark of distinction for the person, the program, the profession, the institution, and the donors."

Harbert College of Business

"The Harbert College of Business maintains a strong legacy of excellence supported by a long tradition of philanthropic support. Among the many ways our faculty, students, and staff benefit from such impactful gifts, the creation of a named professorship, chair, or eminent scholar is among the most enduring. Our endowed positions server as a tribute to the visionary benefactors who established them, celebrate the distinguished faculty members who are honored to hold them, and help us deliver on our mission to serve students and impact practice through our research."
