Dr. Caralise Hunt has over twenty years of nursing experience including medical-surgical and maternal-child nursing. Dr. Hunt joined the Auburn University faculty in 2000 as a clinical associate. She became a full-time nursing instructor for Auburn in 2005 and began an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in 2007. After completing a doctorate in 2011, she entered a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor. Dr. Hunt primarily teaches medical surgical nursing, but has also taught fundamentals, health assessment, and evidence-based practice. She serves as Director of the online RN to BSN program. Dr. Hunt is a certified medical-surgical nurse by the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and is currently serving as President of the local STT chapter, Theta Delta. She is Chair of the school of nursing curriculum committee. Dr. Hunt's primary area of research is self-management of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Tanya Johnson is coordinator for the RN to BSN program and has served in a variety of nursing leadership positions throughout her years of professional nursing practice. Her first 10 years of nursing was as an Emergency Department staff nurse and nurse manager at her local hospital in Alexander City, Alabama. Since that time she has served as nurse manager of Women and Children’s Services in addition to over ten years as Director of Nursing Supervisors. She maintained responsibility as the Director of Nursing during the previous nine years prior to joining the Auburn University School of Nursing.
While her entire nursing career was spent in clinical leadership, her long term goal was to one day teach nursing. After 36 years at Russell Medical in Alexander City, Al, her responsibilities as an Assistant Clinical Professor at AUSON began in August, 2013. Most recently, she was promoted to Associate Clinical Professor. She serves as course leader for senior level leadership courses in addition to classroom and clinical instruction related to Women’s Health and fundamentals. Mrs. Johnson has participated in and developed study abroad programs in Malawi, Ghana, and Spain. She maintains certification as a Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her interests include Nursing Leadership and Management, Patient Safety and Quality Improvement. She is a member of ANA/ASNA and Sigma Theta Tau, Theta Delta chapter.
Erica Kierce is a psychiatric mental-health nurse practitioner and has worked in community, out-patient, and in-patient psychiatric settings. She maintains current clinical practice skills in an out-patient setting and at Auburn University’s Student Counseling Services for medication management.
Erica is working towards her DNP at Vanderbilt University. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Erica taught hybrid courses for Auburn University Montgomery’s EARN program before joining Auburn University as a full time Assistant Clinical Professor in 2015.

Dr. Noll received her BSN from Samford University in December 2007 and began working as a Labor & Delivery RN. In August 2012, she began working with Auburn University School of Nursing as a Clinical Associate. She completed a Master’s in Nursing Education from the joint Auburn University/AUM program in May 2013. In January 2014, Dr. Noll began working as an Instructor for AUSON and was subsequently hired on as an Assistant Clinical Professor in August 2014. In September 2015, she became a Certified Nursing Educator (CNE) through the National League Nursing. Dr. Noll serves as the secretary for Sigma Theta Tau International, Theta Delta local chapter, and is a member of the National League for Nursing, Alabama Constituent League of the NLN, American Association of University Professors, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN) and Lamaze International. She teaches primarily in the Transition to Professional Practice and Childbearing Family & Reproductive health courses. Dr. Noll’s primary of research is teacher effectiveness and student success.

Dr. Parker has over forty years of nursing experience with the past twenty six as a nurse educator. Her clinical background includes critical care and emergency nursing. Dr. Parker began a nursing education career at Auburn Montgomery in 1990 as a clinical associate, assuming a full time position as an assistant professor in 1994 twice receiving the Irma Moore Faculty Excellence award as well as earning the designation of Distinguished Teaching fellow. Dr. Parker joined the Auburn University faculty in 2006. Since transferring as associate professor to Auburn University in 2006, Dr. Parker has been selected the SGA Outstanding Nursing Faculty twice, 2008 & 2009. Dr. Parker teaches leadership and management at the undergraduate and RN to BSN levels and health policy, curriculum development and evaluation, theory and the practicum course at the graduate level. Dr. Parker was instrumental in establishing a study abroad experience to Seville Spain where senior students explored health care and nursing leadership in spring 2017. Dr. Parker served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, June 2014 – January 2018.
January 2012, Dr. Parker was appointed by Governor Robert Bentley to a four year term on the Alabama Board of Nursing. Dr. Parker served as Vice President in 2014 and elected as President, 2015, 2016 & 2017. ABN regulates nursing practice with a primary purpose of protecting and safeguarding the public.
