At SOS, you will have the opportunity to meet other transfer students in your academic college, interact with Auburn’s faculty and staff, tour the campus and discover the services offered by university offices while getting an overall introduction into life at Auburn.

How do I register for SOS?
When registration is open, log into . 1. Click the SOS Registration link. 2. Complete all of the fields and submit. 3. Check your Auburn email account for a confirmation email. This email will include a link to the confirmation letter with more details about the session. You do not have to register for classes before registering for SOS. However it is highly encouraged to complete the modulesas soon as possible before attending SOS in order to register for classes as soon as you are eligible.

What does SOS cost and how do I pay?
The $250 enrollment deposit holds your spot in the incoming class. This enrollment deposit allows you to register for SOS. Your orientation fees will be charged to your student account. The student's SOS fee is $100, and each parent or guest's SOS fee is $50. The orientation fee includes meals and program materials. Once you sign up for SOS, student and guest fees are charged. They are non-refundable, so be certain before you make your SOS reservations. After you register for classes, you will receive billing notification for your first semester via the Auburn University eBill system, which allows you to view and pay your bills online. No paper bills will be mailed. The first bills of each semester will be generated in mid-November (spring), mid-April (summer), and mid-July (fall). A minimum of one-half of the tuition, housing, and meal plan charges will be due 3-4 weeks later (deadline included in the eBill). You must pay at least half of the first bill of each semester to prevent schedule cancellation. A second bill will be sent in December (spring), May (summer), and August (fall) for the remaining amount. You are encouraged to add authorized users to your eBill account. These users will be able to view and pay the bills on
your behalf.

Students should plan to stay the entire time.

Should my family attend? What's their schedule?
Parents and other guests are also invited to attend SOS. There is a separate program designed specifically for them, and an additional fee of $50 per guest will be charged to your student account. The parent/guest program is for family members interested in learning about Auburn. Incoming Auburn students are the only people permitted to attend the student program. Your friends should not plan to attend SOS with you unless they are also entering students and registered for that SOS session.
