What is Path to the Plains?
Path to the Plains (P2P) is a concurrent enrollment program offered by Auburn University and partner Alabama community college institutions designed for students who want to transfer to Auburn to finish their bachelor’s degrees once they have completed their associate’s degrees. It is only available to Alabama residents. We have two options for students to participate in Path to the Plains.
Our in-person P2P option is available through Southern Union State Community College. During the first two years of the program, Alabama resident students complete general education classes toward an associate’s degree at SUSCC while also taking at least one course at Auburn each semester.
Our remote P2P option is available through two Alabama community colleges at this time: Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in south Alabama, and Jefferson State Community College based in Birmingham, AL. During the first two years of the program, students complete general education classes toward an associate’s degree at one of these institutions while also taking at least one course online through Auburn each semester.
