Program Details
Auburn First has adjusted program details over time. The program benefits available to students depends on their status. Please look at the appropriate category below to confirm program details.
Alabama residents* who meet the requirements outlined in the Automatic Admission Checklist below by August 15 at the beginning of their senior year will qualify for automatic admission to Auburn University.

*These requirements also apply to students within the Fulton County School System (GA).
Students who have been reported to the Academic Honesty Committee and found guilty of an Academic Honesty violation are ineligible for automatic admission regardless of their earned credit hours or cumulative GPA. This does not preclude them from submitting a traditional undergraduate application.
*Submitting and being approved for residency for Auburn First automatic admission does not guarantee residency at the point of freshman admissions. In order to be considered a resident for tuition purposes at Auburn University when starting fulltime, a student who has been coded non-resident by Admissions Processing due to an out-of-state address, test score or transcript at any point in their academic career, must submit a residency appeal packet.
Non-resident students are welcome to participate in Auburn First to earn dual credit if your school has an agreement or to earn Auburn credit only. Non-resident students are not eligible to earn automatic admission unless they are attending a school in the Fulton County School System (GA).
The Auburn First tuition rate for non-resident students is the same as the in-state undergraduate tuition rate while they are enrolled in the program.
Students are coded as Non-Residents by Admissions Processing at the point of admission if their record includes an out-of-state address, test score, or transcript at any point in their academic career. More information about Auburn University’s residency policy and appeal process can be found at residency.auburn.edu.
