2025 Provost Academic Advising Awards
The Academic Advising Awards annually recognize members of the Auburn University academic advising community who have engaged students in the collaborative process of advising and had a significant impact on students’ academic careers. Their contributions intentionally contribute the unique Auburn exceptional student support experience.

SUBMIT NOMINATIONS
August 5 – October 15
Submit nominations by 11:59 PM October 15. In recognition of outstanding academic advising and student support, Auburn University’s Office of the Provost will present these awards at the 2026 Advising Awards ceremony.
Outstanding New Academic Advisor
The Outstanding New Advisor Award honors an academic advisor who has advised for less than three years at Auburn by the nomination deadline with more than 50% of duties academic advising.
NominateOutstanding Academic Advisor
The Outstanding Primary Advisor Award honors an academic advisor who has advised for three or more years at Auburn by the nomination deadline with more than 50% of duties academic advising.
NominateOutstanding Faculty Mentor
The Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award honors a faculty member with at least 50% of responsibilities is teaching and/or research and serves as a faculty mentor to students in their program.
NominateOutstanding Academic Advising Administrator
The Outstanding Academic Advising Administrator Award honors an individual who may provide direct academic advising services but whose primary responsibility is as an administrator or director of an academic advising program for a minimum of 3 calendar years in advising administration with at least 50% of their duties dedicated to advising administration.
NominateOutstanding Student Support Representative
The Outstanding Student Support Representative Award honors an individual in a non-advising role that contributes to the academic success of our students and supports academic advising. Qualifying individuals may be a part of an advising unit or other student support unit. Nominator will explain in letter how the individual being nominated supports student success. Academic advising is not the primary responsibility of these individuals.
NominateOutstanding Advising Program
The Outstanding Advising Program Award recognizes an advising program that involves innovative and exemplary practices that result in the improvement of academic advising services. The program must have been operational for three or more years, including pilot period, with data to document outcomes.
Nominate
