Hero of Tomorrow Scholarship Winners

My name is Major Dwyer, and I am a junior studying Accounting. I am originally from Hartford, Connecticut, but before high school I moved to Huntsville, Alabama. I came to Auburn interested in joining ROTC, and once I began my first year with Army, I knew it was a great fit. My parents have taught me how to respect others and to do what is right, and in ROTC I feel surrounded by other dutiful individuals. My older brother is an officer in the Marine Corps, and his service has inspired me to join the military. I am very thankful to the donors of the Heroes on Tomorrow scholarship. Their financial support is allowing me to learn and become a better student and cadet every day, as I work towards my goal of graduating with an Accounting degree and commissioning as an officer in the United States Army.

My name is Aidan Nocera, and I am a junior studying Civil Engineering. I am the youngest in my family of three, and grew up in Stony Brook, New York. I enjoy working out, socializing with friends, and playing the bass. After my first semester at Auburn in the ROTC program, I decided I wanted more involvement within the military. I then enlisted into the Alabama Nation Guard in November of 2020. I am truly grateful for the scholarship bestowed to me by the donors of the Heroes of Tomorrow Endowment Fund. This generous donation puts me one step closer to commissioning and graduating from with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering. War Eagle!
