Senators on the Finance and Taxation (Education) Committee

This Committee has been assigned to consider the proposed constitutional amendment to change the composition of Auburn University=s Board of Trustees, to shorten the term of office of service on the Board, and to limit serve to two terms. This Committee also will be considering the companion enabling legislation which deals with procedural matters relating to nomination and confirmation of candidates to serve on the Board. Letters to these Senators supporting these bills will increase the chances that these bills will reach the Senate in time for a vote during the current legislative session.

A vote to reform the Auburn Board is not only a vote about Auburn, it is a vote to improve higher education in Alabama.
