Mr. Vines serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. Mr. Vines received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University in 1988. Mr. Vines was appointed by Governor Kay Ivey to fill the remainder of General Lloyd Austin’s term on the Board of Trustees and was unanimously confirmed by the Alabama Senate on April 15, 2021. Mr. Vines is married to Antoinette (Toni) Vines. Mr. and Mrs. Vines have three daughters and two grandchildren. Mr. Vines’ daughter, Hannah, currently attends Auburn University.
