Robert W. Dumas is the retired President and CEO of AuburnBank and Auburn National Bancorporation, Inc., where he continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dumas was appointed to the Board of Trustees by Governor Robert Bentley and confirmed by the Alabama Senate on April 10, 2012, to represent the 3rd District. Dumas earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in finance from Auburn in 1976. His first term expired on April 9, 2022, and he was reappointed to a second term by Governor Kay Ivey and confirmed by the Alabama Senate on March 22, 2023. His second term will expire on March 21, 2030.

Dumas is actively involved in many civic and charitable organizations within the community (Lee County). Dumas previously served on the Auburn University College of Business Advisory Council, and he previously served as a Director of the Alabama Bankers Association and as Chairman of the association. He is a former Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He continues to serve as a Director on the Board of the East Alabama Medical Center and as a Director on the Board of the Auburn Research Technology Foundation.

Dumas is a lifetime member of the Auburn Alumni Association and is married to the former Martha Butz, who holds two degrees from Auburn University. Their two children are graduates of Auburn University and reside in Auburn. Dumas and his wife have seven grandchildren.
