Understanding Cost of Attendance

Your individual cost of attendance is determined by your academic status, residency status, expected housing status and program of study. It starts with Auburn's per-credit-hour tuition and fees. However, your actual AU billing statement will depend on your class schedule, your major, and your housing and dining choices. Indirect expenses may include books, course materials, supplies, and equipment, off campus housing, transportation, and personal expenses. Financial aid can assist in covering many of these costs.

Cost of Attendance: This is the estimated cost of attendance including tuition and fees, housing and meals.

Net Price Calculator: The Net Price Calculator assists students and families in estimating their cost to attend for the academic year. It calculates the net price by subtracting the estimated grants and scholarships a student might receive from the estimated total cost of attendance.

2025-2026 Estimated Cost of Attendance

This is Auburn's estimate of the total expenses for the fall and spring semesters, including tuition, fees, books, course materials, supplies and equipment, living expenses (housing and food), personal, and transportation expenses. Items other than tuition/fees are strictly estimates and may vary greatly depending on where you are living and your personal spending. Students may not receive financial aid in excess of our Estimated Cost of Attendance.
