The Federal Pell Grant is awarded to undergraduate students with significant financial need who have not yet earned a bachelor's degree. Eligibility is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
For the 2026-27 academic year, Pell Grant amounts range from $740 to $7,395, depending on your financial need, cost of attendance, and enrollment status. Amounts are prorated based on credit hours enrolled.
Students may not receive more than the equivalent of 12 full-time semesters (approximately six years) of Pell Grant funding.
This grant is awarded to undergraduate students with the greatest financial need and helps supplement the Federal Pell Grant.
This is available to students enrolled in specific College of Education programs. This grant provides funds to postsecondary students who are studying in federally designated critical-need education areas and are committed to serving as full-time, highly qualified teachers in low-income schools for a minimum of four years. Failure to fulfill the four-year service agreement leads to the conversion of the grant into a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, requiring full repayment with interest.
