Veteran Benefits

The Veterans Resource Center processes veteran education benefit applications, changes, and terminations, verifies course enrollment, coordinates course of study with Academic Advisors and maintains student records.

Dates and Deadlines

To ensure maximum consideration, it is imperative students are knowledgeable of the specific deadlines associated with all scholarships awarded. Scholarships will be awarded to first-year students November to early May, transfer students in early May, and current students in early June. Students selected to receive a scholarship will be notified by email to their Auburn email account. First-year students awarded a competitive merit scholarship will also receive notification by postal mail to their permanent address.

FAFSA will be available on or before October 1.

Scholarship application available through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) via AU Access.

Early Action Admission Round 3
Decisions released  Mid-December.
Competitive merit scholarships awarded to admitted students
Official ACT/SAT test score required for merit scholarship consideration

Final Early Action Admission deadline
Submit your complete admission file (application, fee, transcript, and test scores) by this date for full consideration for competitive merit and priority scholarships.

Additional information, if requested, will be listed on the student’s AU Access My Finances page after we receive the results of the FAFSA.
