Speaker Bio

Asim Ali

Dr. Asim Ali is the Executive Director of the Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning at Auburn University, where he leads a team of over 90 professionals supporting instructional innovation and faculty development.
He co-leads Auburn’s augmented and virtual reality initiative (AUX) and advances artificial intelligence in teaching for the Office of the Provost. As founding Director of Auburn Online, Dr. Ali expanded online course offerings by more than 300% and launched the university’s first fully online degree completion programs.

Dr. Ali teaches in the Harbert College of Business and serves on the board of UPCEA, a national organization for online learning. He holds degrees in software engineering, information systems management, and adult education from Auburn University.
