Auburn University Human Resources is pleased to introduce a series of eLearning courses on public speaking. These three courses are designed to help AU employees become more effective speakers – from gaining confidence to speak before a crowd, to honing presentation and facilitation skills.
Each course, available through Fast-Train, takes approximately one hour to complete:
- HR950E, “Introduction to Public Speaking”: The first in the series, this course explores public speaking skills such as planning, PowerPoint, and ways to meaningfully engage an audience. (This course is a prerequisite for the other two courses.)
- HR951E, “Presentation Skills”: This course focuses on organization, best practices for visuals and effective delivery, and successfully responding to questions.
- HR952E, “Facilitation & Training Skills”: This course focuses on facilitation and training methods, what makes a good facilitator/trainer, and developing effective activities and materials both online and offline.
