Auburn University observes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, and the Friday after, and Christmas Day.

Holiday schedules are listed below. Please review the Policy on Holiday Pay for additional information.

  • Monday, Jan. 5, 2026: All offices will re-open and resume operations at 7:45 a.m.

Additional Details

  • Temporary employees are not eligible for holiday pay.

  • Holiday hours are treated as hours worked under current University policy. Overtime payment during holiday periods should be processed in the same manner that overtime payment would be handled at any other time of the year.
