Develop the Skills to Lead and Succeed

Leading People is designed for leaders serving as a supervisor of one or more team members. Over six weeks, supervisors will gain essential leadership skills for empowering, enabling, encouraging, and developing others while focusing on the Auburn Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, and Respect.

Through guided sessions and interactive discussions, supervisors will learn from and with their peers as they explore leadership concepts and best practices. Active participation and commitment to personal growth are essential for successful completion of this course.

This course will consist of 17 hours of in-person training by experienced Auburn University instructors, and no more than seven hours of self-paced training. The schedule includes six weeks of in-person sessions and completion of the self-paced learning path, “Getting to Know Federal & State Laws and Auburn Policies.” Each week, supervisors will engage in two classes spanning a 3-hour time block.

  • Second class (75 minutes)

NOTE: Aspire Auburn's Leading People program utilizes peer learning circles to garner conversation and engagement on leadership topics. To maximize participant involvement in peer learning circles, we require a minimum of 25 participants per cohort. If we do not achieve at least 25, we will close the cohort and ask participants to enroll in another offering.
