Two major initiatives—the implementation of JDXpert and our new partnership with Experian for employment and income verifications—demonstrate UHR’s dedication to accuracy, transparency, security, and compliance. Together, these efforts help ensure that Auburn’s HR infrastructure remains strong, adaptable, and aligned with the university’s long‑term goals.

Job and Position Descriptions

JDXpert LogoThe JDXpert project represents a significant step forward in how Auburn manages job descriptions and position data. Historically, job information was stored across multiple systems and formats, making it difficult to maintain consistency and ensure accuracy. JDXpert provides a centralized, modern platform that streamlines the creation, review, and maintenance of job descriptions across the university.

With this system, departments can more easily update job responsibilities, ensure alignment with organizational needs, and maintain clear documentation for recruitment, compensation, and compliance purposes. The platform also improves transparency by giving supervisors and HR partners a shared view of job data, reducing confusion and helping ensure that positions are accurately represented.

By modernizing this foundational element of HR operations, JDXpert strengthens Auburn’s ability to recruit effectively, support career growth, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations. It is an investment in clarity, consistency, and long‑term organizational health.

Employment and Income Verifications

Experian logoIn 2025, Auburn improved how it protects employee information by partnering with Experian for employment and income verifications.

These verifications are often needed when applying for a mortgage or loan, renting an apartment, establishing credit, or completing a background check. Through Experian Verify, Auburn employees can have their employment and income confirmed instantly, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Requestors and employees can visit www.experianverify.com to create an account and access a report. All verifications are completed online, which makes the process faster and more secure.

Experian invests heavily in cybersecurity. The company uses dedicated security teams, advanced technology, and strict procedures to protect personal information. Their security approach focuses on three main areas:

  • Preventing threats from entering the system

  • Detecting threats if they appear

  • Mitigating threats by limiting access to sensitive information

Experian also performs regular compliance checks and constantly scans for potential risks. Multiple layers of protection help keep employee data safe and secure.
