Visit auburn.edu/activate for instructions to enable your Auburn account. Once activated, your account will give you access to AU Access and your Auburn email, the university’s official form of communication. Be sure to activate your account first, as you’ll need these tools to complete your admission acceptance.
Summer and fall terms: May 1
Spring term: November 1
Submit your $250 enrollment deposit or “Intent to Enroll” form online via your Auburn Admitted Portal at aub.ie/admittedportal. This deposit is non-refundable and will apply to your first semester tuition and orientation fees. All students are required to pay the enrollment deposit including PACT participants and academic or athletic scholarship recipients. If you are accepted after the deposit deadline, you have 15 days from your acceptance date to submit your enrollment deposit.
Register your device with Duo 2-factor authentication, Auburn's mobile security system by visiting duo.auburn.edu. Accepted students will be required to use Duo to access their email, complete CWE registration, register for classes, and access other Auburn resources. Please remember that Duo provides a connection to Auburn resources for the student, so the device registered should be the student's device, not a parent's device.
Deadline: June 1
Camp War Eagle is Auburn’s orientation program for incoming freshmen and their families. Your enrollment deposit must be received to register for Camp War Eagle (CWE). The First Year Experience Office will mail registration information to students who have submitted their enrollment deposit. CWE registration is expected to open in mid-March. For more information about Camp War Eagle, please visit: auburn.edu/cwe.
Freshmen entering in Auburn’s spring term must attend Successfully Orienting Students (SOS) rather than Camp War Eagle. For more information about SOS, please visit: auburn.edu/sos.
Log in to your Auburn Admitted Portal at aub.ie/admittedportal to verify we have received an official copy of your final high school transcript after graduation.
Visit auburn.edu/housing for more information about living on campus. At Auburn, freshmen are not required to live on campus. The housing application will be available in November. Students will receive an email to their Auburn account with a time slot to apply for housing. We encourage students to apply for housing as soon as they can to increase their chance of being able to select their desired house.
If you prefer to reside off campus, find the latest information about off-campus housing options at offcampushousing.auburn.edu.
Please note that on-campus housing for freshmen is limited. We currently accommodate approximately 70% of our freshmen class in on-campus housing. Please be mindful that we cannot guarantee on-campus housing and utilize a waiting list when the number of housing applications exceeds capacity.
Your enrollment deposit is not a deposit for housing. A separate housing pre-payment must be submitted with your housing application. Cancellation of housing does NOT imply cancellation of admission.
Following acceptance, incoming freshmen must complete the scholarship application through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) by February 14 for general and departmental scholarship consideration.
Incoming students are not required to submit the enrollment deposit to apply for scholarships and are only required to complete the scholarship application once each academic year. To complete the scholarship application and search for scholarships, visit AUSOM on Admitted Students or My Finances in AU Access.
To receive consideration for need-based scholarships, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available in October at fafsa.gov. The priority deadline for the FAFSA to be received by Auburn is February 1.
You will register for classes during orientation. To familiarize yourself with classes at Auburn, you can review and download the latest version of the Auburn University Bulletin, our course catalog, at auburn.edu/bulletin.
