Convocation is from the Latin word for "calling together" and our assembly will formally welcome you to the Auburn University Family as a member of the 2011 first year class. Auburn University's Second Annual Convocation marks the beginning of our first year's college career. Convocation will connect our new students with their university, recognizing the acceptance of their offer to join us on the Loveliest Village on the Plains. The ceremony will communicate their role as members of the Auburn Family, igniting the Auburn Spirit to serve their fellow students, community and the world abroad.
