"I can't think of a week in the last six or seven years that someone hasn't said 'War Eagle' to me (at a PGA event)."

Jason Dufner was a walk-on for Auburn's golf team, where he won three times in his college career and was an Honorable Mention All-American in 1997. He graduated with a degree in economics and turned professional in 2000. Dufner won for the first time on the PGA Tour at the 2012 Zurich Classic of New Orleans when he defeated Ernie Els on the second hole of a sudden death playoff. Just three weeks later, Dufner secured his second PGA Tour victory at the HP Byron Nelson Championship, which earned him 8th place in the Official World Golf Ranking. In 2013, he won the PGA Championship, beating runner-up Jim Furyk by two strokes to secure his first victory in a major. He is the founder of the Jason Dufner Foundation, which focuses on ending childhood hunger in Lee County, Alabama, through partnerships with local, regional and national organizations. Currently, the foundation provides weekend meals for more than 1,200 children in seven elementary schools throughout the school year and for more than 500 children over summer breaks.
