Jake HIley

Jake Hiley is currently pursuing a Master of Music Education at Auburn University while serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Auburn University Bands.

Prior to arriving at Auburn, Jake was the Assistant Director at Fulton Public Schools in Fulton, Missouri. During this time, he taught high school concert band, jazz band, marching band, and middle school band. While teaching in Missouri, Jake worked among various summer camps such as Compass Music Camp, College for Kids, and assisted the Bellevue East Marching Band in Nebraska.

Jake graduated Mizzou ‘39 with a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Missouri. While at Mizzou, he participated in Marching Mizzou under the direction of Dr. Amy Knopps where he was the baritone section leader for two years, drum major for one, and took an independent study on the teachings of collegiate marching band with Dr. Knopps and Marching Mizzou. Jake was also involved in the Mini Mizzou Basketball Pep Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, the Tuba/Euphonium studio directed by Dr. Angelo Manzo, Phi Mu Alpha, and the New Student Programs Office.
