Application

The hiring timeline prioritizes applications submitted before the midterm in the semester prior to employment. For example, applications submitted before March 4, 2025 will be the first ones considered for Fall 2025 positions.  However, applications are accepted and reviewed throughout the year to be considered on an as-needed basis.

On the application, you can indicate if you are interested in being considered for a position with SI as an SI Leader, with Study Partners as a Peer Tutor, or both. The Academic Support undergraduate application is an identity-hidden process. Make sure you double check your email address as this is your application identifier. Only completed applications will be recorded. When you complete the application fully, it will trigger an email confirmation so you know that it was received.

Be sure you have the time to commit to completing all sections at once, as you will not be able to save and return to an existing application. Before beginning the application, be prepared to provide:

  • Student information

  • Responses to 3 short answer essay questions

  • Course information for which you are qualified and interested to support (earned A or B)

If you are selected to move on to the next round of consideration, you will receive an email invitation with details about setting up an interview, as well providing references to support that step of the selection process.

Info Sessions

Each semester, Academic Support representatives will host several information events to spread the word about peer leader opportunities in the office. We will have copies of the SI Leader and Peer Tutor position descriptions and can answer questions you have about the application process/role.
