The student is to go to the Graduate School website to fill out the Request for the Report on the General Oral Exam. This will initiate a workflow, sending a request for approval to each of the student’s committee members.
The student will go to the Graduate School website to fill out the Doctoral Dissertation First Submission Approval Form . This will initiate a workflow, sending a request for approval to each of the student’s committee members.

Once all committee members approve the Doctoral Dissertation First Submission Approval Form, the University Reader is sent the Dissertation Evaluation Form.
Once the University Reader approves the Dissertation Evaluation form, the student is emailed a link to a form where they will provide the date, time, and location of their final exam, as well as the embargo options that they have chosen for their dissertation. Upon submission of this information, the student’s committee as well as the University Reader will receive notification of the Final Exam. Once the final exam date arrives, the committee and University Reader will receive a link to a form where they will provide the results of the Final Exam.
Once the committee approves the Report on the Final Oral Exam, the committee and University Reader will receive a link to the ETD Approval Form. The ETD Approval form signifies that the committee:
1.) Has reviewed the thesis/dissertation and approves of the document for electronic publication
2.) Approves of the embargo options that the student has chosen
The student is to submit final dissertation to AUETD in PDF file format for final approval by using the AUETD link.
The student must complete the required Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED)
The student must complete the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) survey
