The Graduate School recognizes outstanding scholarship at the master's level with up to six Master’s Thesis Awards annually.

The application process, selection criteria, and award categories are modeled after the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools’ Master’s Thesis Awards. Upon the recommendation of the awards committee, the Graduate School may nominate Auburn Master's Thesis award winners for the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools’ Master’s Thesis Awards. The nomination and submission deadlines fall over the summer semester so that selected award-winners from Auburn may also be nominated for these regional awards which have early fall deadlines.

Auburn Master's Thesis Award winners will be recognized at the annual Graduate Awards ceremony the following spring semester, receive a cash prize of $250 and a citation.
