The Graduate School and the Graduate Student Council are pleased to recognize and support academic excellence with the Outstanding Graduate Student Awards at both the master's and doctoral levels. Graduate faculty members are encouraged to nominate outstanding students for these awards.

The Graduate School and the Graduate Student Council annually recognize Auburn’s 20 most outstanding graduate students. Ten of those honored will be in master’s or education specialist programs and ten are from doctoral programs. The Outstanding Graduate Student Awards will be presented by the Graduate School at the Graduate Awards ceremony near the end of spring semester. The awards are for student activities during and before the current calendar year.
Each department or school is invited to nominate one outstanding graduate student at the master’s/educational specialist level and another at the doctoral level, if such programs are available in the department or school. From these nominations, an awards review committee will select 20 recipients for the current acacemic year.

A complete nomination packet will consist of:

A student vita. The vita should include and indicate which of the following have been accomplished while a graduate student at Auburn University: academic record; work experience; teaching or other role in undergraduate program; publications (research, extension, general); creative work; grant development; professional presentations; membership and service in professional associations; University and community service; honors and awards.

Three letters of support for the nomination. The letters of support should emphasize accomplishments associated with the graduate study at Auburn.

The annual deadline for nominations is February 15. If this date falls over a weekend or holiday, submissions are due by 8:00 am CT on the next business day.
