The Graduate School has implemented an automated workflow system for several Doctoral and Master’s student forms, including:

  1. Request for Report on General Oral Examination (Doctoral)

  2. Request for Report of Master’s Thesis Final Exam

  3. Dissertation First Submission Approval Form (Doctoral)

  4. Dissertation Evaluation Form (Doctoral)

  5. Request for Report on Final Oral Examination (Doctoral)

  6. Electronic Thesis/Dissertation (ETD) Publishing Approval Form (Doctoral and Master’s Thesis)

  7. Non-Thesis Comprehensive Exam Form (Master’s Non-Thesis and EdS)

These workflows use Smartsheet to notify the student, committee members, university reader, and the Graduate School whenever an action is needed, and whenever processes are started or completed.  For instructions on how to check the status of a request, please visit Checking Status of Smartsheet Workflows.

 

 

Email Notifications and Smartsheet Forms (Committee)

A sample email sent to the committee from Smartsheet when a student submits a Request for Report on General Oral Examination. The committee member should click the “View Request” link to record a decision. Please do not click the Unsubscribe link or no more notifications will be received.

After clicking the “View Request” link in the email, the committee member is presented with a form where they Approve or Decline the Oral Exam.

Once the University Reader has approved a Doctoral student’s dissertation evaluation, the student is will be sent a Smartsheet form where they should provide information regarding the final exam date, time, and location, as well as dissertation embargo options.
