Auburn University proudly hosts several recurring events that bring together researchers and creative scholars to spotlight their discoveries and innovations. The Research Symposium, SHOWCASE and the Team Science events all serve to bolster Auburn's reputation as an R1 Research Institution and to celebrate the incredible achievements of our student and faculty researchers.
The work featured in these events is rooted in the sciences, arts and professional programs. Often, these projects are focused on developing solutions to meets the needs of Alabama or the United States as a whole. Regardless of the focus, though, research is a principal component of the University's mission and reflects the grounded and groundbreaking approach that defines the Auburn Family as a whole.
Join the brightest research minds at Auburn University at the annual Research Symposium, taking place every year during the spring semester. Undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral researchers present their projects and latest findings through oral and poster presentations. While their work might not take place in a lab or in the field, the creative scholarship of Auburn students and faculty is an important part of our commitment to research. The CREATIVE SHOWCASE event is a celebration of that creative scholarship, bringing together completed and in progress work from across the university. Participants and attendees engage with work on display at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art and with performances held at Gogue Performing Arts Center, while workshops and panels round out the semester-long program of events.

Focusing on networking and collaboration, the Team Science series — begun in 2024 — brings together researchers and experts from different disciplines and perspectives working together to understand and address complex issues. The series features engaging presentations, lively panel discussions and other opportunities promoting connection and interdisciplinary cooperation to deliver innovative, impactful and sustainable research outcomes.
