RCR Training Resource

The CCTS is funded by a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Center for Advancing Transactional Sciences, National Institutes of Health, and grant UL1TR003096. It is one of 62 CTSA programs nationwide and the only CTSA in Alabama. Established in 2008, the CCTS Partner Network, which spans 11 academic research institutions in three Deep South states (AL, MS, LA), is the foundation of the collaborative efforts.

Auburn University is a partner within the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) Network which provides a variety of Responsible Conduct of Research training resources.  Visit the links below for additional information.

• • Scientific Rigor, Reproducibility, and Transparency training via CCTS R2T-Kaizen - Content is delivered via an app-based, educational gaming platform, making the training a little more fun than many other research training courses. Applicants can sign up for the R2T game and/or learn more about the game by visiting the link.

• • CCTS Clinical and Translational Science Training Program (CTSTP) -  A six-month certificate program including 50 didactic hours of lecture and interactive programming covering Clinical Trials, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Ethics, Clinical Genetics Research, Behavioral Research, Outcomes Research, and Dissemination of Results. It runs 2 hours/week from January – June (applications to the program are due in the Fall).

• • Additional CCTS Training - Opportunities include Career Development, Grant Writing, Experiential, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Mentorship, Self-Directed Learning.

• CCTS YouTube Channel - Over 300 videos covering topics such as Informatics, Biosketches, Research Ethics, Statistical Power, Rigor, Reproducibility, Transparency, and much more.
