In conjunction with the inaugural INSPIRE-AU Lecture, SPB and AMDA invite you to... Make Your Philanthropic Footprint!

The Student Philanthropy Board, a mentoring initiative of the Women’s Philanthropy Board, and the College of Human Sciences’ Student Apparel Merchandising and Design Association, invite you to Make Your Philanthropic Footprint on February 7th in conjunction with the inaugural Inspire-AU lecture. Please bring NEW SHOES and/or CANNED FOOD for entrance to the event. Local nonprofits benefiting from this drive include Esperanza House and the Food Bank of East Alabama.

Esperazna House strives to improve the quality of life for Hispanic children and families. Esperanza House desires to intentionally develop and implement programs that meet the needs of low-income Hispanic families and their children in such critical areas as mental health, youth development, childcare, education, immigrant services and advocacy.

The Food Bank of East Alabama is a centralized warehouse that stores and distributes donated and purchased perishable and nonperishable food items. It distributes food to low-income people through member agencies that serve the ill, needy and infants. The Food Bank works to reduce food waste, feed hungry people and raise public awareness of issues related to food and hunger.
