While learning in our hands-on, project-based setting, you’ll experience authentic learning environments and achieve industry credentialing, including Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. You can also join Phi Beta Lambda, an organization that focuses on business-related career competencies and civic and personal responsibility.

Acquire the knowledge and skills to successfully manage an office. With courses in document processing, leadership and organizational development, information processing, and managing office systems, you’ll understand how an office system functions.

You’ll take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification Exams (additional fees required) and have the opportunity to complete the IC3 Certification Examination (additional fees required).

If you decide you want to teach, you’ll be able to use the coursework in this program to meet a part of the required courses needed for the B.S. in Business/Marketing Education.

Our bachelor’s degree will prepare you to teach a broad range of business/marketing courses in grades 6-12. Our graduates are ready to provide students with the vital knowledge and skills required for entry level employment in business, postsecondary education, and personal business transactions. If you have a master’s degree but you aren't ready to pursue a Ph.D., an Ed.S. may be right for you.  In our Business/Marketing Education Ed.S. program, you’ll expand upon your master’s work and earn Class AA Alabama teaching certification. Through your work with excellent faculty, you will broaden your knowledge base and complete a field project that addresses a practical problem in Business/Marketing Education.

The Ed.S. degree leads to recommendation for Class AA Alabama professional educator certification.

Our doctoral program prepares you for careers in teaching, administration, extension service, and training. We also prepare you for development positions in public and private education, business/industry, and government agencies. We build upon the knowledge of your previous experiences and studies. With this degree, you can assume leadership roles, manage programs, and teach in a variety of settings.

Ph.D. programs are not part of the Auburn University approved Educator Preparation Programs. The state of Alabama does not have certification/license at this level and therefore this degree is not eligible for reciprocity in other states.
