Agriscience Education
Our Agriscience Education program provides undergraduate and graduate students a variety of degree options that focus on Agricultural Education, Extension, and Leadership. Our programs will equip you for a career in agriculture through outreach training and field experiences in content areas such as animal science, horticulture, agronomy and soils, agricultural economics, agricultural mechanics, forestry, environmental science and so much more.
Business/Marketing Education
If you have a passion for business and the desire to educate others, our program will prepare you to start or advance your career in Business/Marketing Education. While learning in our hands-on, project-based setting, you’ll experience authentic learning environments and achieve industry credentialing, including Microsoft Office Specialist Certification.

Career and Technical Education
Our Career and Technical program focuses on graduate-level teaching and learning. Our doctoral program prepares you for careers in teaching, administration, extension service, and training. We also prepare you for development positions in public and private education, business/industry, and government agencies.
Early Childhood Education
In Auburn’s Early Childhood Education program, you’ll learn the best approaches for teaching young children from pre-kindergarten through grade 3. Through coursework and authentic practical experiences, students learn child development, curriculum development, developmentally appropriate practice, diversity, and advocacy.
Elementary Education
Our Elementary Education program prepares teachers to provide appropriate learning experiences that meet the needs, capabilities, and interests of children in grades K-6. Coursework develops students’ knowledge and skills in research-based language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies content.
English Language Arts Education
Our program centers on hands-on applied practice. We emphasize a deeper understanding of traditional and non-traditional ways of teaching and learning English Language Arts. With both English content courses and English education-focused courses, our students graduate ready to lead.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
Our program will prepare you to teach students who speak English as a second language. We prepare teachers to meet the needs of students to ensure success. You’ll have applied courses by experts in ESOL and a variety of different experiences to help you learn the best ways to teach.
Foreign Language Education
Students in Foreign Language Education study theories of second language acquisition and connect these theories to practical classroom applications. With both undergraduate and graduate programs, the Foreign Language program is a leader in teaching future and current educators.
Mathematics Education
Our program will help you learn through exciting and innovative teaching opportunities and coursework featuring meaningful strategies for teaching mathematics. The Mathematics Education program will help you learn to be a leader in your classroom through your work with Auburn's renowned faculty, field experiences, and attention to technology.
Music Education
The Music Education program provides undergraduate and graduate degree options for those who love music and want to share it with others. As an undergraduate, you can start your music teaching journey on day one and finish your degree with a full-time music teaching internship. You’ll learn to teach in music classrooms with outstanding and collaborative teachers. Graduate students can build on their experience and delve deeper into research.
Reading Education
Auburn’s Reading Education program prepares you for a successful career in reading instruction. You’ll work directly with faculty who helped develop the Alabama Reading Initiative, or (ARI). In our program, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills you need to help struggling readers succeed.
Science Education
If you are passionate about science and care deeply about working with students, our science education program is the perfect fit for you. We focus on hands-on experiences, and you’ll learn to teach by actually teaching. Through self-evaluation, understanding how students learn, and comprehensive curricular development, you’ll graduate ready to teach.
Social Science/History Education
Our program will prepare you to engage 6-12th grade students in exploring historical and contemporary issues of democratic society. The Social Science/History Education program emphasizes theory-based knowledge, teaching skills, and guided practice in public schools. We focus on an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning.
