
Sarah Grace grew up in Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University and her Master’s and Education Specialist degrees in Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University. Sarah Grace is working towards a doctoral degree in Administration of Higher Education. Her dissertation focuses on trauma in higher education, exploring the student perceptions of how institutions facilitate healing for parentally bereaved college students.
With a background as an eating disorder therapist and over seven years of experience managing institutional food pantries, Sarah Grace has a wealth of knowledge in nutrition, community-based food programs, food insecurity, and SNAP benefits. Her years of experience in higher education and the pursuit of a doctoral degree in the administration of higher education provide expertise in the nuanced food security issues of college students. Beyond knowledge, she is incredibly passionate about providing food access to all, particularly the college student population, as they face unique challenges associated with food insecurity.
