Camp iCare is dedicated to teaching youth how to be money smart, understand wants vs. needs, and practice philanthropy. Through this unique learning program, youth develop their leadership and giving skills while making a positive impact on others.
Historically, Camp iCare impacts hundreds of youth around Alabama and beyond each summer. Due to this unprecedented time, Camp iCare has adapted to these circumstances by developing camp activity bags.
“Through the difficulties of Covid-19 pandemic I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to help develop this new program and the potential it has to reach so many young people,” Camp iCare Director Lauren Faulkner said.
Camp iCare distributed bags throughout Alabama and beyond to schools, nonprofit organizations, and individuals to reach thousands of youth this summer. We are proud to say that these partnerships both existing and new have broadened the reach of Camp iCare. These bags have given 6,500 youth an opportunity to become more money smart and philanthropically aware.
Camp iCare is a joint venture of the Auburn University College of Human Sciences Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies and the Department of Human Development and Family Studies Early Learning Center.
