Program   Goals

The goals of the Interior Design program are grounded upon preparing graduates who:

• possess the knowledge and understanding of the reciprocal nature of the human response to aesthetic, functional, and technological aspects of the built environment.
• have developed the technical, conceptual and communication skills necessary to evolve as practicing Interior Designers and successfully navigate the professional environment.
• understand the value of designing environments for clients or individuals from diverse cultures, with varying physical capabilities, and at varying economic strata.
• understand and implement professional and personal ethical policies that relate to and influence the design industry, individual businesses / corporations, vocational organizations and the Interior Design profession as a whole.
