The Walker Pharmacy Building was evacuated around 8:30 this morning after a small leak was discovered in a hydrogen chloride gas cylinder in a laboratory.  First responders, including the Lee County Hazardous Materials Team, are working to contain and remove the leaking cylinder.  There is no known immediate danger to the campus community, but the building and area surrounding the building were evacuated and cordoned off as an extra precaution.  The building will remain closed until released by first responders.  An all clear message will be sent by AU ALERT once normal conditions resume.
