Weather Alert - Classes Canceled 1/28 and 1/29 Due to Winter Weather

Dining Plan for Wednesday, Jan. 29

Auburn University dining facilities will be open during the following hours on Wednesday. Please continue to monitor the Dining App for the latest information.

  • South Donahue C-Store: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m
  • Cub Stop: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Taco Trek: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Breakfast to order)
  • Terrell "T" Store: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Terrell AYCTE: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Village Food Court: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Plains 2 Plate: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Auburn University will cancel classes and suspend normal campus operations for Wednesday, Jan. 29, because of the winter storm that is impacting the area. Limited campus dining venues will be open for on-campus residents. Check the campus dining app for information on open venues.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Auburn area until 6 a.m. CT Wednesday. The National Weather Service in Birmingham indicates that the city of Auburn and surrounding areas could receive more than two inches of snow. Road conditions have been rapidly deteriorating today. Please stay off the roads except for emergency situations.

  • Night Security Shuttle will not run tonight due to deteriorating road conditions along with expected additional winter precipitation and a low temperature below 20 degrees F.
  • Campus Residents: Housing is taking measures to keep the steps and primary walkways at all residence halls salted to reduce potential slipping hazards.  Despite these efforts, the potential will remain for slips and falls, so please use caution and use only the primary entrances to residence halls.

  • Village Food Court - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Denny's, Pinkberry and Tiger Zone CLOSED)
  • Plains 2 Plate - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • "General Lee" food truck - Roosevelt Concourse, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Open as long as the weather permits)
  • South Donahue C-Store - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Cub Stop C-Store - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Terrell "T" Store - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

 

Auburn University cancels classes for Tuesday due to expected winter storm

Auburn University will cancel classes on Tuesday, Jan. 28, because of the winter storm that is expected to impact the area. Normal campus operations will be suspended. Limited campus dining venues will be open for on-campus residents. These venues will be announced separately.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham indicates that the city of Auburn and surrounding areas could receive more than two inches of snow, which may be preceded by some sleet or freezing rain. Temperatures are expected to remain below or near freezing until Thursday.

Any additional closures and announcements will be posted at http://ocm.auburn.edu/news/alert. An announcement regarding Wednesday operations should be made by 5 p.m. Tuesday.
