Auburn Libraries

As your student approaches the end of his or her first year at Auburn
University, we would like to thank you again for visiting the AU
Libraries during Camp War Eagle and remind you that we are here to help
your student in a variety of ways. We've heard from some parents
concerned with their student's safety as he or she comes and goes from
the Libraries.

We were able to help the President's office, the Provost's Office and
Auxiliary Services address the concerns of parents and students about
safety in the parking areas near the RBD Library.

Effective March 6, 2008, uniformed security personnel will be available
to escort library users to their vehicles parked in the Library parking
deck and the Comer Hall parking lot between the hours of 8:30 pm and
7:30 am. Anyone interested in an escort should ask at the escort station
near the 1st floor Circulation Desk of the RBD Library.

We hope that your student continues to have a successful and safe first
academic year here. We look forward to being of assistance to all Auburn
students as they progress through their careers at Auburn University.
