Deadline for Course Toolkit set for Jan. 30
Article body
On Jan. 30, Auburn University will decommission the program known as Course Toolkit. The primary uses of this resource are to download class rolls, view picture rolls, communicate with students and identify certain class details such as location and capacity. In recent years, the university has implemented more efficient applications to accomplish these same tasks while providing greater support and data security, specifically Self-Service Banner and Canvas. Instructions for replicating the primary Course Toolkit functions within Banner and Canvas are located in the OIT Knowledge Base.
In preparation for this change, units across campus have done their best to identify any additional uses that may require information beyond what is currently accessible in Banner and Canvas. In those situations, Auburn is implementing a tool called Restricted Roster Access. Only users with an approved business need should have access to this tool.
Any faculty or staff who feel they need to gain access to this tool should contact Wiebke Kuhn, associate director in the Biggio Center, at kuhnwi1@auburn.edu no later than Friday. Any requests after the deadline must be submitted to your unit’s Administrative Security Requester. Faculty may also contact Kuhn with additional questions or concerns regarding this change.
