Eight faculty from College of Liberal Arts recipients of Southeastern Conference grant program
Article body
Established in 2012 by the Southeastern Conference Presidents and Chancellors, the SEC Visiting Faculty Travel Faculty Grant Program enhances faculty collaboration and stimulates scholarly initiatives between SEC universities. It gives faculty from one SEC university the opportunity to travel to another SEC campus to exchange ideas, develop grant proposals and conduct research, and it is intended to encourage and support conference collaborations in any discipline.
The College of Liberal Arts wishes to congratulate its eight recipients for the 2020-21 program:
-
Kathleen Bell, Department of Music
-
Conor Bell, Department of Music
-
Tessa Carr, Department of Theatre
-
Chris Correia, Department of Psychology
-
Sarah Hamilton, Department of History
-
Matthew Hoch, Department of Music
-
Virginia Kunzer, Department of Music
-
Janelle Rodriques, Department of English
Up to $10,000 is available in travel grants for the 2020-21 academic year to be distributed among faculty who are selected for these awards.
After working within the SEC Faculty Travel Program, past travelers have been invited to present their research at conferences, have been awarded competitive grants and others have secured publications in leading journals.
