The newly created Office of Student Advocacy provides students with the tools to navigate systemic barriers that may impact their ability to succeed. Through education, resources and support, Student Advocacy empowers students to utilize their agency toward conflict resolution and problem-solving through student-centered, solution-focused strategies. The office leads the Bias Education and Response Team, or BERT, to respond to and support individuals impacted by bias incidents on campus. Through this work, students, faculty and staff will be able to share their concerns and learn about more resources and opportunities for restorative justice through campus partners such as Auburn Cares, Office of Inclusion and Diversity, Office of Accessibility and many others. The office is located in the Melton Student Center, Suite 1119, and can be reached by calling 334-844-1329.
