Joffery Gaymon tapped to advance Auburn as the university’s next Vice President for Enrollment

Following a national search, Joffery Gaymon has been selected as vice president for enrollment at Auburn University. Her appointment is effective March 4.

In her new role, Gaymon will provide vision and leadership to Auburn’s student recruitment and enrollment efforts, including strategic direction, oversight and support to admissions and scholarship administration. She will report to Senior Vice President for Student Affairs Bobby Woodard.

Gaymon joins Auburn from the University of West Florida, where she served as vice president for enrollment and student affairs. Under her leadership, enrollment grew, student test scores improved and retention of first-time college students increased. Gaymon also implemented a number of innovative initiatives while at West Florida, leveraging technology to improve communication with prospective students, increase departmental efficiencies and empower student success.

“We had a number of qualified candidates, but Joffery’s experience and expertise are unparalleled,” said Woodard. “We look forward to having her talent and vision at work at Auburn.”

Gaymon brings significant expertise to Auburn. Her career in university enrollment and student recruitment began at Georgia College and State University. She held enrollment positions of increasing responsibility at the University of South Carolina, Beaufort, from 2008 to 2013. She served as the University of West Florida’s vice president for enrollment and student affairs since 2017, where she has held similar positions since 2013.

Gaymon received a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in public administration from Georgia College and State University and a doctorate in higher education administration from Northeastern University. She also completed the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education at the Harvard School of Education.
