Auburn University Community ID Card

OLLI members who have paid the $50 membership dues for the current OLLI year may obtain an AU Community ID card. The cost to receive the AU Community ID card is an additional $25. The procedures outlined below should be followed to obtain this card. You must have an active AU Community ID card to audit Auburn University credit courses, obtain an AU parking permit, and use the AU libraries.

OLLI membership is for the calendar year, August 1 – July 31, with dues and academic fee paid annually. AU Community ID cards are automatically renewed when you renew your OLLI membership each year. AU Community ID cards become invalid on September 30 of the year that you do not renew your OLLI membership.

The OLLI staff will submit your request to Auburn University Identity Management prior to your visit to ID Card Services in the Harold Melton Student Center, Suite 1301 in Auburn. Once you receive the "Approval Granted" email from olli@auburn.edu, you may go to The Onboarding Center to obtain an AU Community ID card."

AU Parking Permit

Short term parking permits are available to OLLI members who have an active AU Community ID card. The request is made at the same time, using the same process, and information as was used to request the AU Community ID card. Once you have obtained an AU Community ID card, you may go to parking services to pay for a campus parking pass.

AU Library Information

OLLI members with a valid AU Community ID card may use the Auburn University libraries. The request is made at the same time, using the same process, and information as was used to request the AU Community ID card. Once you have obtained your AU Community ID card and have taken care of your parking permit, you may go the Draughon Library, second floor circulation desk and ask to activate your AU Community ID card so that you can use it as a library card.

Auburn University Bookstore

The Auburn University Bookstore provides a 10% discount for OLLI members on certain items when you show your AU Community ID card or OLLI name tag.

Tiger Transit

With your AU Community ID card or your OLLI name tag, you are eligible to ride Tiger Transit. The Tiger Transit website provides information about schedules, stops, pick-up places, and game day services. All of the routes have wheel-chair accessibility. Remember that Tiger Transit is not a city bus service; its routes are primarily limited to on-campus, except for pick up at student housing and for game day pick up at off-campus locations listed on the website.

Auburn Oil Co. Booksellers

Auburn Oil Co. Booksellers provides a 10% discount for OLLI members when you show your OLLI name tag. Auburn Oil Co. Booksellers is located at 149 East Magnolia Avenue, Suite A in Auburn.

Village Friends

OLLI members who have paid dues for the current OLLI year receive a 10% discount on the annual membership to Village Friends. Mention your OLLI membership and show your current year OLLI name tag during your Village Friends orientation to receive the discount.

Special Interest Groups and Workshops

OLLI members can join Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and participate in hands-on workshops led by OLLI instructors and community partners. Access to SIGs and workshops do not require academic term fees. Some workshops may have additional costs for program materials.

Jule Collins Smith Museum Store

OLLI members who have paid dues for the current OLLI year receive a 5% discount on all regularly priced merchandise. Sale and consignment items are not included. Mention your OLLI membership and show your current year OLLI name tag at checkout to receive the discount.

Gogue Performing Arts Center

OLLI members receive a 10% discount on tickets for GPAC presented performances in the full season including season and series subscriptions. An account has been created for current year OLLI members and the discount has been automatically applied to your account.

Visit https://goguecenter.auburn.edu/. Click “Purchase Tickets” then click “Login.” Near the center of the page, click “or use our standard login.” Enter your email address and password in the fields that appear and click “Login.”

Once logged in, you should see your name in the upper left-hand side, and OLLI Member on the right-hand side as an active promotion. Select the performance for which you would like to purchase tickets. Under the selected performance, click the area of the map in which you would like to sit.

Note: the color of the map corresponds to the number of tickets available in that area. Green – excellent availability, Blue – good availability, Yellow – limited availability

Once you’ve clicked an area of the map, you will then be able to select specific seats. Be sure to choose the OLLI member ticket type after selecting your seat(s). You will not receive your discount if you select the Full Price ticket.

Note: for General Admission events, a map will not appear. You will select the number of tickets from “General Admission” that you’d like to purchase.

Once you have selected all your seats, click “Add to Order” on the right side of the page. Review your selected seats, then click “continue” at the bottom of the page. Choose your delivery method, review your billing details, then click “continue”. Do not enter shipping information. Enter your payment information and click “Buy."

Audit Auburn University Courses

OLLI members are eligible to audit courses at Auburn University subject to space availability and approval from the appropriate faculty.

Contact the Registrar’s Office at regatau@auburn.edu or 334-844-2528. With a few short questions, they will determine if you need to be admitted as a first-time student or re-admitted. Follow the instructions from the Registrar’s Office to Obtain a Banner ID number.

Complete the Course Audit Request Form. Obtain the appropriate signatures. Email the completed form to registrar@auburn.edu. Note: Any authorized OLLI staff member may verify membership, however, it is best if this is done through the front office.

The application fee will be waived if you follow this process. If you submit the audit form prior to getting approval from the Registrar’s Office, you will be responsible for paying any required fees.

Note: If a student completes the readmission process for a term and does not enroll for that term, they will be considered inactive again for subsequent terms and will require readmission.
