Preparing for the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act: Explanation and Analysis for Accountants

row1

Auburn, AL - Accountants, tax lawyers and financial advisers are scrambling to interpret President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill for their clients. The far-reaching legislation is one of the biggest tax revisions in recent history. It is more than 800 pages long with at least 300 pages devoted to tax law changes. Many of the changes will impact taxes to be paid in 2025.

Auburn University’s Office of Professional and Continuing Education has announced a live, national tax seminar in August to quickly bring tax professionals up to speed on the impact and details of the new law.

The seminar, titled “Preparing for the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act” is intended to help tax professionals learn details of the new law. The three-hour course will be offered live online on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. Central Time.

“Tax professionals need to be planning with their clients right now on how to best benefit from these tax changes,” according to Chris Bird, a nationally known speaker, author and former IRS agent.

Bird has been in the financial business for over 30 years and is a frequent instructor in the Auburn University Tax Institutes, held across the South each fall. He has co-written part of the 2025 National Income Tax Workbook, published by the Land Grant University Tax Education Foundation.

Bird started his career with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP). Bird conducts more than 125 seminars a year on accounting, financial planning, wealth building, residential rental property ownership, and tax strategies for the real estate and financial industries nationwide. He has been an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois in tax law, is a Senior CRS Instructor, and a Senior Faculty Instructor for the Realtors Land Institute.

“Unless tax professionals react quickly to the new legislation, incorrectly interpreting the new laws may create situations where citizens pay more taxes,” Bird said. “Keeping clients informed and updated on legislative developments is essential not only for compliance but also for identifying strategic opportunities, minimizing tax liabilities, and maximizing available benefits under the new law.”

The seminar will be presented live on Zoom. Meeting coordinates will be emailed upon registration. The $125 registration fee includes the seminar, the complete PowerPoint presentation with more than 100 detailed slides, and a sample client letter to help tax professionals outline changes for their clients.
